FTSE France 40 Low Carbon ESG Screened Decrement 50 Points Index

L’indice FTSE France 40 Low Carbon ESG Screened Decrement 50 points a été lancé en janvier 2020 par FTSE, en partenariat avec Sustainalytics, l’un des principaux fournisseurs indépendants de recherche ESG et de gouvernance d’entreprise.

L’indice se compose de 40 actions liquides d’entreprises françaises, sélectionnées par Sustainalytics en fonction de leur empreinte carbone et de leur implication dans des activités et/ou secteurs controversés, parmi les 80 plus grandes capitalisations boursières françaises.

En premier lieu, les sociétés dont le niveau d’implication dans une activité « controversée » dépasse des seuils d’implication maximum pré-définis, ou ayant commis des manquements au Pacte Mondial des Nations Unies, sont exclues de la composition finale de l’indice. Les activités « controversées » pour les besoins de cet indice sont celles en lien avec la production d’armes, le tabac, le charbon, les énergies fossiles, les jeux de hasard et le divertissement pour adultes. Le niveau d’implication maximum retenu est de 0%, 10% ou 25%, selon la catégorie d’activités, en termes de seuil de revenus ou de production lié à l’activité controversée en question.

En second lieu, pour chacune des valeurs restantes, l’entité Sustainalytics établit un score « Carbone » qui repose sur le ratio entre les émissions carbone de la société et ses revenus. Les 40 actions présentant les plus bas scores « Carbone » sont alors sélectionnées.

Ces 40 valeurs sélectionnées sont équipondérées, ce qui signifie que chacune d’entre elles représente un poids identique dans le calcul de l’indice.

La composition de l’indice est revue trimestriellement en mars, juin, septembre et décembre.

Les dividendes bruts payés par les valeurs qui le composent sont réintégrés dans l’indice et un dividende fixe de 50 points par an est déduit.
